I was going to ask if the engine of the HARRIMAN, assuming that it was either a CTE or a Uniflow, was a candidate for preservation in a museum. Reciprocating marine steam engines are wonderful machines; the modern world owes their builders and engineers more than it can ever appreciate. Alas, I learn that a total ER failure doomed the HARRIMAN; it sounds like her powerplant might not be a good candidate for a museum. What about the CRAPO? She has one that was choked off by the removal of her prop shaft. Is there somewhere that a functioning (even if it runs on compressed air) up-and-downer is in a museum setting? For that matter, does any museum have a marine steam turbine plant?
