Hi - This past Sunday I was at the Cut River bridge on Route 2. I hiked down to the river, and walked out to Lake Michigan. Perhaps someone has some info for me. First, there was what appeared to be a freighter dock about 1 - 2 miles east. Does anyone know what the name of the dock is, and what cargos load/unload here? Also, how often do ships visit there. Secondly, at the mouth of the Cut River there are a couple large pieces of concrete. Does anyone know the history of the mouth of the river, are those big concrete blocks the remnants of a pier of some sort? If so, what was the purpose of boats/ships tying up here? Thanks for any info! Regards, Mike
