The George A. Stinson was laid up there in May after U.S. Steel completed the purchase of National Steel. U.S. Steel, which has a hauling contract with Great Lakes Fleet, did not want to pick up the hauling contract for the Stinson. GLF boats have been hauling pellets to the former National Steel mill in Detroit while the Stinson has been idle. The Stinson is owned by GATX, so presumably American Steamship is working to find cargoes for it.
