If I remember correctly from a fascinating trip up the St. Lawrence south shore in 1998, BERTHIER-SUR-MER is the location of a wonderful marine museumn, at which are exhibited a retired CCG ship, ERNEST LAPOINTE(?), and the fabulous BRAS D'OR, Canada's too-successful attempt at a hydrofoil warship. Legend has it that at seaspeed, she moved faster than her guns could track. They've breached her hull and installed a staircase so visitors can enter. If I've got the right place, a boatnerd couldn't find a better place to stop. PS, there's a cathedral that dates from 1642 just up the street from the museum.
