Thanks Kent. I heard that the latest deal had fallen through. She's been rumoured to be put back in ferry service, turned into a casino, turned into a some sort of great lakes cruise ship, a cable ship for some outfit in England, etc, etc. It's sad that she's been let go really. I crossed on her twice back around 1990 or so, and enjoyed the ride. I've also heard that Ontario Northland has been having financial difficulties for the past few years. I wonder what the Chi-Cheemaun's successor will be? A smaller ship sailing around the clock or a larger ship (200+ vehicles) sailing only twice a day? Who knows. If they take care of it, she's good for another 10 years at least. Brad.
