Considering that two of Olgebay Norton's Maritime commission SU's are still around and doing well, did ON take better care of these two vessels than other companies or was it merely coincidence of cargo types that enabled them to last so long? Or was it the fact they were SU's considering that the Sloan and Reiss are also still sailing while the Robert C. Norton is scrapped? Are the Sloan and Reiss in better or worse shape than the former ON boats? To complicate it more,....the Willowglen, Frank Purnell(Steelton), and former Leon Fraser remain intact as well with one being operational. What kind of condition were these three in prior to their new assignments? Food for thought.
