Hi Chris, Late last November when the Calumet came into Menominee with a load of coal for Menominee Paper Co. they did a similar thing, they had two lines out but the dock is very run down and the water is shallow so they just moved in as close as they could and got stopped on the bottom and then moved around as neeeded while unloading and getting a shallower draft. http://www.boatnerd.com/news/newpictures02/Calumet-c-11-27-02-sb.jpg Here is a pic from that day, taken just after they swung the boom out, note that at the time I took the pic. the boom is just barely reaching the dock, but by the time they were done unloading the boom was well onto the dock.
