Kent, just an update for you. The lock-out was reintroduced today, this time indefinitely. The lock-out by the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) is in response to a work-slowdown orchestrated by the International Longshoremen and Warehouse Union. The issue: computerized cargo tracking. The PMA wants to use computers to track cargo as it arrives, no different than UPS or the Post Office. The introduction of this technology would displace union workers who perform the same function using pencil and paper. This dispute has been an on-going one and won't be settled any time soon.
